| Stephanie Skura has investigated the boundaries & intersections of dance, performance, theater and text for 32 years. She won one of the first "Bessie" Awards for Choreography, and has received numerous fellowships and grants from the NEA and other government and private organizations. She has performed & taught in 28 of the United States and 53 cities worldwide. Her writings have been published in the Village Voice, Drama Review, Contact Quarterly, Dance Magazine, Heresies Magazine, Dance USA, Cranky Literary Journal, and the book Reimaging America. She is Associate Artistic director of The Gravity Project, a Pennsylvania movement theater company. |
